Building Transition Updates

In 2013, the congregation entered into discussion about the possible sale of the Ranchlands facility through an intentional congregational renewal process. In 2016, the Ranchlands building was sold to the Muslim Association of Canada, and the Calgary congregation relocated to Lion's Village at 2528 Bowness Rd. NW as a temporary location.

A Facility Planning Team has been established to help facilitate this transition, and the congregation has entered into an acquisition process as it seeks to relocate to a new space.

This purpose of this page is twofold:

To provide all stakeholders with the most current information available on the subject of the building transition.
To provide all stakeholders with a centralized location to connect with the Facility Planning Team. All are encouraged to post questions or comments on all updates below and/or complete the Owners Representatives Contact Form. A member of the Facility Planning Team will respond to your request as soon as possible.

The Property Team met with two of the three short-listed architectural firms this week in face-to-face meetings. Both meetings were very positive and promising. The Team will meet with the final firm next week before scoring the three shortlisted firms. (Click here to review the scoring criteria.)

Once all three meetings have taken place, a final recommendation will be presented to the congregation for approval.
