Building Transition UpdatesIn 2013, the congregation entered into discussion about the possible sale of the Ranchlands facility through an intentional congregational renewal process. In 2016, the Ranchlands building was sold to the Muslim Association of Canada, and the Calgary congregation relocated to Lion's Village at 2528 Bowness Rd. NW as a temporary location.
A Facility Planning Team has been established to help facilitate this transition, and the congregation has entered into an acquisition process as it seeks to relocate to a new space. This purpose of this page is twofold:

Our new awning has been installed to match those of our neighbours. We are absolutely falling in love with the curb appeal of our new space. In the first image you can see our backlit church seal just inside - so warm and inviting...PEACE.
Can't wait for all the colours of spring to explode in all the nearby trees.

Chairs and tables have been assembled, projector has been installed, TVs have been setup...it is down to the final touches!
Thanks to all our volunteers and consultants for making this happen so quickly! Photos provided by Pastor Doug Hayden. We have much to be grateful for this week!
Our Pastor Doug Hayden and his two amazing assistants (Don McLeod and Ron Richea) have been busy delivering and assembling our new furniture. Additionally, we've had a baby changing station installed in both communal washrooms. Progress! Check out that extra cool delivery truck, and THANK YOU to our volunteers! Great news!
The Calgary Congregation’s new facility located at: 422 11 Ave. SE #112 Calgary, AB T2G 0Y4 …has passed city inspection with flying colours! Having chosen the best in their field, we were not surprised to learn there were no issues of concern for the inspector. We’d like to thank our professional groups for bringing our dream to life:
Also, a special thanks to the Toronto Congregation for supporting us throughout this process by answering our questions, providing guidance and suggestions, and for being our cheerleaders since day one. Lastly (but certainly not least), we’d like to thank the congregation for its patience, support, and input throughout the process. We are grateful for the commitment and hard work of the Facility Team. Thank you for everything! There are a few pieces waiting to be delivered (e.g. furniture, drapery, etc.), but we are well on our way! More details to come soon! |
