Building Transition UpdatesIn 2013, the congregation entered into discussion about the possible sale of the Ranchlands facility through an intentional congregational renewal process. In 2016, the Ranchlands building was sold to the Muslim Association of Canada, and the Calgary congregation relocated to Lion's Village at 2528 Bowness Rd. NW as a temporary location.
A Facility Planning Team has been established to help facilitate this transition, and the congregation has entered into an acquisition process as it seeks to relocate to a new space. This purpose of this page is twofold:

All short-listed firms have now submitted their fee proposals, and the Property Team can now begin to finalize their scores. As previously mentioned, once scoring is complete, the Property Team will give a formal recommendation to the congregation.

Each firm has been asked to provide a cost estimate that would carry the project from survey to concept. Once this has been received, the Property Team will finalize their scores and present the congregation with their recommendation. Questions? Contact Parker Johnson at parker@communityofchrist.ca. As of this week, the Property Team has now met with all three shortlisted firms. Pending a cost estimate from each firm, the team will then score the firms using the same criteria as before. The Property Team met with two of the three short-listed architectural firms this week in face-to-face meetings. Both meetings were very positive and promising.
