Building Transition UpdatesIn 2013, the congregation entered into discussion about the possible sale of the Ranchlands facility through an intentional congregational renewal process. In 2016, the Ranchlands building was sold to the Muslim Association of Canada, and the Calgary congregation relocated to Lion's Village at 2528 Bowness Rd. NW as a temporary location.
A Facility Planning Team has been established to help facilitate this transition, and the congregation has entered into an acquisition process as it seeks to relocate to a new space. This purpose of this page is twofold:

In September 2017, the Property team provided the architectural firm with the results of the congregational needs analysis, and the firm subsequently provided us with a program matrix outlining the recommended square footage, parking and design requirements, etc. in October 2017.
On Monday, October 30, 2017, the Property Team met to discuss our formal recommendations to the architect regarding the program matrix we'd received. This information was returned to the firm today, November 1, 2017, to be considered in the preliminary conceptual model in the coming weeks. This is a major step forward in the process for the congregation. Once we receive the preliminary conceptual model, we will present this back to the congregation for input. This model will give us a concrete example of the type of space we'd like to secure that can be provided to the realtors. As more details become available, we will share those with you. On behalf of the Property Team, thank you for entrusting us with this task. We'd ask for your continued prayers and support as we move forward with the process. Questions?
