Join Danny Belrose for "Discover 'Your' Preaching Voice" Seminar (CWM Mission Conference 2019)6/26/2019 “There are preachers who say something and there are preachers who have something to say”—there’s a difference. We will explore worship, how to get a message (the central idea or thesis and what to do with it), sermon preparation, elements of persuasion, delivery, construction of the “propositional sermon” and the “narrative sermon. “I don’t preach, is this seminar for me?” YES! The class will benefit beginners, seasoned preachers, worship planners, and YES, listeners! ALL ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND!  Beginning July 14th, the Calgary Congregation will observe Summer Hours. Would you - or would someone you know - like to connect with LGBTQIA+ Community of Christ members and friends? Would you like to learn more about Harmony and participate in the power of story within a safe, affirming setting created just for you? Register online today at www.harmony.lgbt. Over the weekend, we hosted our first congregational retreat in the foothills near Kananaskis Provincial Park. We see this as an opportunity to connect organically with little structure. Folks arrived throughout the day, played games, visited with friends, went for hikes in the area, and shared meals with church family. The relationships we’ve forged on Sundays and at various other church activities over the years are so special, and dedicated opportunities like this to connect without distractions are critical as we seek to live out our name. Expect this to be a recurring event. We had 20 people attend throughout the day and it was very well received. Looking forward to our next gathering!
