Just this week, members of Community of Christ International Headquarters Communications Team, Latter-day Seekers, and the Canadian Marketing Team hosted three free presentations via Facebook Live.
This series was called Connect, and provided beginner-level tips on Building an Online Presence, Google: Making Your Congregation Searchable, and Facebook Basics. Judy McLeod passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the age of 69. Judy is survived by her husband Donald, her sister Maureen, her sons Eric and David (Jennifer), and her granddaughter Isobel. Judy will be remembered for her love of cats, her talent for scrapbooking, and her passion for reading and learning. Judy's enthusiasm for reading and learning was echoed throughout her life as she worked as a librarian, a pre-school teacher, and a manager at a book store. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Heritage Centre at St. Mary's University (14500 Bannister Rd SE) on Saturday, September 21 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the MEOW Foundation. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting leydens.com. All are invited to a worship planning meeting on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m., September 16th at Ken and Naomi's home. Join us for fellowship and a productive morning!
Presentations
All presentations will be held at 12 p.m. (noon - CDT). “Build an Online Presence” (17 September) Learn the basics of using the internet to connect with seekers and members. “Google: Make Your Congregation Searchable” (18 September) Learn how to use Google to reach seekers interested in visiting your congregation. “Facebook Basics” (19 September) Learn about Facebook pages and groups and how they’re a powerful ministry tool. Register Complete the registration form to attend. The free workshops will be streamed live on the Community of Christ Facebook page and will include opportunities for attendees to ask questions. The workshops will be recorded and archived for those who cannot attend live.
