Canada West Mission MCP and MCFO Appointments

Dear friends,
 
I’m pleased to announce to the Canada West Mission Centre the appointment by the Frist Presidency and Presiding Bishopric of Sam Smalldon to serve in a volunteer capacity as mission centre financial officer for the Canada West Mission Centre. Sam will begin serving immediately. The Canada West Mission Centre will have the opportunity to sustain Sam in this role at the next mission centre conference. Sincere thanks to Sam for his willingness to serve in this role.
 
Steve Thompson has been appointed by the First Presidency to continue serving as mission centre president. The mission centre will likewise have the opportunity to sustain Steve in that role at the next conference.
 
I am profoundly grateful to Steve for his service in the dual roles of mission centre president and mission centre financial officer since 1 July 2014. I invite you all to also share your gratitude with Steve as you have the opportunity.
 
I look forward to engaging in mission with this new team.
 
The official announcement from the Human Resources Department will appear in the coming days, but I wanted the mission centre to have advance notice of this change in roles.
