'Generation Now' Collecting Donations for Calgary Drop-In Centre

As part of a larger Generation Now activity, members and friends are challenged to begin collecting items for a congregational donation to the Calgary Drop-In Centre. Please consider supporting this initiative as we encourage our young people to make a difference in our local community.

Donations should be provided by the congregation up to and including Dec. 10. Youth will meet at the Beddington Dollarama to purchase any outstanding items at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17 (8220 Centre St. NE, Beddington Co-op Centre, Calgary). We will then head to our usual Sunday morning meeting place at Lions Village for the 11 a.m. service. Participating youth and any other interested members from the congregation will stay to stuff socks and make cards from Noon – 1 p.m. We will provide lunch for those staying to stuff socks.

Suggestions for Christmas Socks

• Thick winter socks
• Ear warmers
• Hand warmers tooth brush
• Travel size soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc
• Mouth wash (alcohol free)
• Bus pass
• Tim’s or McDonalds gift cards
• Toque
• Mitts
• Scarf
• Hard candy
