LIVE BROADCAST: Special Advent Service to be Streamed from the Community of Christ Temple in Independence, Missouri

An Advent service at 7 p.m. CST (6 p.m. MST) Dec. 9 in the Community of Christ Temple, Independence, Missouri, USA, will be webcast on www.CofChrist.org and the Community of Christ Facebook page. 

The audience has been invited to sing along with the Independence Messiah Choir during the event. Jack Ergo will direct the Handel classic. Organist Jan Kraybill will accompany the singers on the Temple’s 5,685-pipe Casavant organ.

The event continues a 100-year-plus Independence tradition of annual “Messiah” performances. The inspiring Temple sanctuary will be the backdrop and the concert will include classic Christmas hymns. A freewill offering will be accepted.
