Updated Online Arrangements for Worship/Fellowship

To the Calgary Congregation:

As we continue our new traditions of weekly online fellowship and worship opportunities, we are tweaking the start time of our Wednesday fellowship slightly to accommodate work schedules and bed times for our little ones. Please see updated notice below. Additionally, Edmonton will discontinue its weekly worship broadcast, directing members to Beyond the Walls at 10 a.m. MDT every Sunday instead. (More details below.)

In response to COVID-19, local Calgary Congregation leaders have come up with the following response plan in order to ensure ongoing programming and fellowship can continue without disruption. This will be achieved by broadcasting our own worship services, partnering with nearby congregations across the mission centre and beyond, and through regular online gatherings focused on meaningful fellowship.

Weekly Calgary Worship

• In partnership with the Toronto Congregation, we will be able to offer ongoing, weekly worship opportunities for you. If you would like to volunteer for an online service, please contact Parker Johnson at parker@communityofchrist.ca.

• In addition to online opportunities to share in worship experiences, local leaders feel strongly that offering regular online gatherings with the sole purpose of socializing is of equal importance.
• While we all continue to follow government recommendations such as social distancing, it is important that we don’t forget to take time to check in on one another.
• We will offer weekly opportunities to connect via online video conferencing on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. MDT. This will be an opportunity for guided check-ins with our members and friends.
• If you do not have the ability to join our weekly video conference fellowship on camera, you are more than welcome to dial-in by phone for audio-only participation. Click here to view detailed instructions on just how to do this.

Regular Online Gatherings/Broadcasts/Livestreams Elsewhere:
