Request for Christmas Donations

The Calgary Congregation has frequently supported other non-profit organizations at Christmas time in our city. We specifically target efforts that assist the vulnerable to make their lives a little brighter at Christmas, which is a particularly difficult time for the vulnerable and poor. This year the Salvation Army is having trouble filling the demand for unwrapped gifts for children and have a demand for gifts for 3000 families. The particular age groups they are short for are 10-14 year old and babies.

We invite members of the congregation that wish to help to bring gifts to church Sunday December 16th, or to donate cash which will be used to purchase gifts on your behalf. You can also etransfer money to dhayden@shaw.ca and Doug will direct your funds for this program. We will take all the gifts collected to a collection site Monday December 17th.

You may donate directly to the Salvation Army, but there does not appear to be a specific option on their website to donate specifically to this program. If you have any questions please contact Doug at 403-615-1624.
